Volunteer Opportunities

SJBMS Parent Volunteers 2017-2018

Hello! I wanted to introduce/re-introduce myself to you. My name is Katherine Wong-Anderson and I'm volunteering as the Middle School Home Base Parent Coordinator and Middle School Volunteer Coordinator this year. A little bit about me, our older son, William Anderson, just finished his Freshman at Juan Diego and our second son, Jacob Anderson, just finished 6th Grade at SJBMS. This is my second year as Middle School Home Base Parent Coordinator and my first year as Middle School Volunteer Coordinator and I couldn't be more excited.

Time flies and I'm sure you're thinking "I can't believe my kiddo is now in Middle School!" or "I can't believe my kiddo only has this and next year of Middle School!" or "Holy cow, this is my kiddo's last year in Middle School and then they are headed off to High School!"

Believe me, I've been there and Middle School will fly by fast if not faster. This is why I decided to volunteer so I can enjoy these last few years with Jacob and really be involved with the school.

We are looking to fill parent volunteer spots ranging from Home Base parents and miscellaneous classroom help to Science Fair and Blossom Ball and all things in-between.

Click on the following Sign-Up Genius link to see the volunteer opportunities. Once you have chosen which Home Base you would like to help, please make a note in the comment section indicating if you want to be a Home Base parent, help out at Blossom Ball, Science Fair, etc...Please let me or Melissa Smart (SJBMS HSA Liason/HSA VP - ) know if you have questions.

I hope that you will consider volunteering and enjoy this amazing chapter in your kiddo's life. What an adventure we will have with them. As we all know by now, it truly takes a village.
